The first time I went to see Lori Ann Renner Therapist in Daphne, AL she was doing work with a client who was experiencing severe panic attacks. I was quite nervous about seeing the Therapist because of her intense demeanor and the way she used her voice, but she was very helpful and I found it easier to relax when I saw her. I don’t really know that much about anxiety or panic attacks, so I was nervous about what she would be saying to me, but the more I listened to her, the more relaxed I became. She also stressed the importance of relaxation in our lives and how many times we tend to focus on a specific negative thought or emotion. This can affect our breathing patterns, our feelings, our eating and many other areas of our life.

When I first learned about panic attacks and anxiety, I really didn’t understand why someone would be in this condition. I didn’t fully understand the relationship between anxiety and panic attacks. After seeing the Therapist in Daphne, AL I realized that these two things are one in the same, they really do go hand in hand. If you are having a difficult time relaxing, if you find yourself becoming anxious and tense, then you are probably suffering from panic attacks. When I was first learning about these attacks I was told that I have an overactive fear system, but it turns out that the fear is actually what sets us up for a panic attack. Once I learned that I was able to reduce my anxiety greatly.

You have to realize that we all have some anxiety in our lives. We all get nervous before we ever get to the big occasion, we all have some kind of anxiety. It is up to us to learn how to manage this anxiety and the anxiety that comes along with it. One way that I did this was to learn the techniques of breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, and how to take deep breaths. I also found out what I should and shouldn’t eat, so that I can better manage my anxiety. Now I find that I can live a much happier life knowing what I have to do to reduce my anxiety and enjoy the little things in life.
